It is sure hard to believe that we are almost at the end of another year. As 2009 draws to a close I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of my wife Jane and myself, our family and all my staff to extend warmest wishes of the season to everyone.

Christmas and New Years Celebrations are a special time to be with family and friends and I hope you will have the opportunity to share some quiet time and reflect an all the good things that life offers us. I would also like to remind you to take time where possible to remember and help those less fortunate.

Please join me in thinking of those who are bravely serving Canada oversees. Many of the young men and women are from my riding and our thoughts are with them and their families.

I hope you will join us once again at one of our New Years Levees. We will be at the Royal Canadian Legion in Coldwater on Sunday January 3 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and then at the Royal Canadian Legion in Midland on Sunday January 10, also from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
