Families were being charged an effective interest rate of 60% annually on late payments to their hydro bills, which is illegal under the Criminal Code. But even though the Supreme Court ruled in their favour, families still lose because they are being handed the bill. |

| (Orillia): Today Statistics Canada released its November 2010 Consumer Price Index report (CPI). The report, which measures the level of inflation paid on various goods, confirms that while the rest of the country begins to recover, Ontario families were hit by a 3% increase in inflation (vs. 2% in all of Canada), making it harder and harder to live in McGuinty’s Ontario. |
